This page explains what information the ABC Basketball Scheduler app collects, how it's used, and how you can control it. This app is used only by coaches, parents, and board members of Ankeny Basketball Club, it is not a public product and we don't sell or share your information with anyone outside of running the league.
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, cell phone number, your role (coach, parent, or admin), and your team (or your child's name and team, for parents). This information is provided directly by you when you sign up.
We use your contact information only to send you schedule related notices you'd reasonably expect from a league scheduling tool: gym time becoming available, your practice or game being added, changed, or canceled, account approval updates, and similar schedule coordination messages. We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell or rent it to any third party.
Emails are sent through Resend, and text messages are sent through Telnyx. These are the delivery services we use to actually get an email or text to your phone, they only receive the minimum information needed to deliver that one message (your email address or phone number, and the message content), and they don't use it for any other purpose.
You can turn email or text notifications on or off at any time from the Notification preferences section inside the app, once you're signed in. You can also reply STOP to any text message to opt out of texting, or contact us using the information below and we'll update your preferences for you.
We keep your account information for as long as you're part of the league. If you'd like your information removed, contact us and we'll take care of it.
